The village of Svirkovo is located 7 km east from the municipal town of Simeonovgrad. An old Roman bridge 2 km southwest from the village is still preserved. Other Roman treasures are found here-silver Roman coins from 1st and 2nd century, two pots containing silver treasure (6 dishes and 2 ingots) together with dedications and inscriptions in Latin.
There is an agricultural cooperation cultivating mainly grain crops - barley, corn, sunflower and cotton. There are open opportunities for investments in agriculture in this area.
The village of Svirkovo has a tradition in folk-singing for many years.
Every year at 21 Novenber the autumn fair takes place.
